I haven't heard about the wasps one but I have heard the bees one they are supposed to mean money but if I remember correctly it's money that is earned not a windfall.

Where theres muck theres money is another one but i don't know if it's true as it didn't for me
I used to work in a riding stables so was always up to my neck in muck but i still don't have much money

Maybe it's the ones who own the stables who get the money
