Gemma ,
Time is a Human concept as much as any other unit of Measurement. It serves us in this Mortal life so that we can attach a Physical proportion to it in the case of weight volume mass length distance and perhaps not so physically time.
I believe that outside this Mortal life There is no meaning to time or space.
This is only my individual view.
Best wishes Neville.

Oh a thinking topic...let me put on my helmet....
I must say....I feel that time is a form of measurement given for our use as Human beings. I don't believe that in any other realm there is a need for time. But, hey that's my small opinion

((((((( Gemma ))))))))) funnily enough I was thinking about this only yesterday, I think time is initially based on the cycle of sunrise and sunset and I believe it was the Babylonians that first gave some kind of measurement to the cycles, although time as we we know it is a man made thing rather than a god given thing I believe.
Its odd though how today all our lives are governed by time, a time for this a time for that etc, we only know time because its what we are used to, living our life by the hour, minute and second.
The one thing that does puzzle me is they say that spirit don't use time like we do simply because they would have no real need for it, so how would spirit know that something is going to happen at a certain time? hmmmm a very interesting topic

I truly believe that time is one of the most valuable things we have. To give someone a little of your time, only if just to stop and say hello, that can be worth more than anything sometimes.
I believe time is more than just a human concept of measurement, it's a spiritual test to see how wisely and kindly we use our time, depending on this is our place in spirit. We all go to spirit of course but how far up the spirit realm you start off depends on what you have done with your time on earth.
Time is the most valuable thing you can have and give.

GuidingLight ,
I can only assume that as Spirit have no need for time they have being formless access to all kinds of places and periods as we measure them.
In one of my recent meditations I was able to reach the source of all knowledge.( I think some call it the Akashic Record others the Light Library).
Naturally in the Meditation I tried to buy it! However the chap looking after the source told me it was not for sale but I could however visit at any time.
He then offered me Wine, Olives and some Grapes and a good old smoke on his Pipe containing Morroccan Hemp.
Thank God it was only a Meditation.
Back to my point and on topic. Many belief systems make reference to an Akashic Record. Or a Light Library or indeed a Universal collective consciousness that we all apparently have access to in varying states .
That is a direct suggestion to you that you are all that Man has ever been built in within you. At this point you are the sum total of all your forebears right back to the Australopithiscenes( Try saying that without your Dentures). We have a DNA memory that go's beack way beyond this life.
I usually try not to get too scientific as it hurts my grey cells.
I think Spirit has one over on us in the respect that DNA is something they dont usually operate with and subsequently they can fly hither and thither across the Aeons to times long gone and time to come. Hence there ability to come through and tip us off e.g precognitive Dreams, Premonitions and the like.
I am no expert but you get my gist. I obviously cannot prove to you the existence of Light Libraries or Ascended Masters or any other Institutions or People that are outside this plane. I also though cannot disprove it.
Best wishes Neville.

G.L hmm in not sure, but pehaps spirit dont use time like we do as, i think part of why people have time is because we have life, and in a way time is used to measure life and death, now maybe spirit have no need for time as they are around for alot longer then the average say 70 yrs we are alive as we are now. I think ive confused myself there, i think what im trying to say is in there but its not the easiest thing to put into words.

Time to me is sometimes my enemy but sometimes my best friend, i don't know really what time is, but i do think that time is life and everything need it to grow and to learn, the sun comes up so its morning, but why not call it night? the moon shows its face, and the night begins, time i think it the process of life , what i mean by this is not the numbers on the clock or the sun and moon but life it self, in a room looking out of the window and seeing a beautiful site, time dues seem to stand still, as you feel you have only been there a few mins but you may of been there all day, time i think is the process of life,
(i know daft , but this is what i think, wrong or right,) love sam,xxx

Time to me is ... the here and now.. even though time is Governed by man and those who have set out time through human response .... if we didnt have any concept of time maybe we would arrange our days/ nights in our own way that was best suited to our own individual needs .....even though man made, time sets out specific rules for each and everyone of us, the strange thing is we all accept and abide by these Rules willingly and even more to the point without question.Maybe Time in something that is inbuilt, in order that we accept it's purpose in some way

((((((((((((((Whisper)))))))))))))) I agree with you, a moment of our time can have a profound effect on the people who touch our lives, even a kindly gesture or a smile can brighten a soul's day. Thank you for sharing your thoughts

Gemma
Like most others Time is Here and Now, and is a Human concept, Spirit have no need for time as they are eternal, you only have to think of them and they are there, but as mere mortals Time is important as it gives structure to our lives, giving someone a moment of your time can make the world of difference to them. but others may think Time is open ended as not everything conforms to time you can not put a Time on how a peson takes to heal from an illness etc, as we are all individual. that is my interpretasion of time.
take care

What I have read is that on the Other Side, there is no time, instead it consists of eternal "nows" (whatever that means) ... also according to some people who have had near death experiences, we have to pretend time and space are real in order to incarnate... just my 2 cents there
