I have a question. My son, who is 11 was sitting with me the other week. He said to me, what does it mean when you look at yourself sleeping. He then said that he goes to a beautiful and calm place full of white light and he speaks to 3 people , who he was close to. He can never remember what they speak about, but he wants to stay there with them. He always remembers the journeys. Is this astral travel that my son is experiencing?

((((((((( Azurite))))))))) did your son feel any of the things mentioned on the Astral Projection page? also astral projection is a forced experience, making it happen consciously, where as an OBE is spontaneous. The feelings with astral projection are more subtle but still very noticeable, OBE`s are more unpleasant experiences with the feelings being more intense.

| Hi, Thankyou for the reply. I have spoken to my son and he has said that it happens once or twice a week. He said he just goes to sleep as normal and the next thing he knows he is looking down on himself. I have heard of this happening and have read articles on this, but i didnt know it was happening to one of my own lol. He said it been happening for so long now that he is no longer scared and enjoys these journeys when they happen. Love Karen xxxxx

| If he's asleep and not aware of those sensations mentioned on the astral projection page then its probably likely to be a lucid dream, a dream where you are aware that you're dreaming, lucid dreams are good for astral projection and spirit communication. Spirit can reach us much more easily in dream state because our minds are relaxed and we can perceive the subtle vibrations more easily.

What Azurites son has experienced is wonderful, but based on the information posted would suggest a lucid dream, lucid dreams are just as good if not better because we can experience many spiritual things in that state and have more control including meeting and communicating with spirit people, a lucid dream isn't just dreaming as you put it.
You have to look at all possibilities and eliminate what it might be or what it might not be. It doesn't mean I am right in what I say, I can only form an opinion and come to some sort of conclusion to what the experience might be based on what's been posted.

I did not mean to direct anything at anyone, I was referring to the parents that are more commonly found than Azurite, I mean the ones like my parents who tried to convince me that anything out of the ordinary I reported to them was my imagination or a dream. I hope this covers anything necessary to put things straight, I probably should have read your reply all the way through first but, I am going to do it second, right now.
